Heather and David Sharland - Church Missionary Society, Uganda
David and Heather are working in Southern Sudan seeking to help with healthcare issues and are working to encourage the local Christians. The recent peace agreement offers a glimmer of hope for the future. Heather recently held a refresher course attended by many of the ladies she first trained in 1987!

Szakacs Ilona - minister in the Reformed Church in Moldova, Romania.
Ilona has been, for the past five years, minister to Hungarian speaking familes scattered across Moldovia. From first of January 2007 she is minister to a small congregation between Sibiu and Fagaras in southern Transylvania. A recent grant will enable her to continue her doctoral studies in Bucharest university. Her biggest challenge is restoring worship to the local church and turning the church house into her home after 45 years of neglect.

- Praise God for the encouragement of a research grant and a move from a scattered and remote Moldova.
- Pray that God will encourage her in her studies, give her the courage to tackle the enormous challenge of a congregation without a minister for 45 years, the support to make the church and manse habitable and the vision to see God at work there.
